FinTech Survey Reveals Client Conduct Shifts Amid COVID-19

A brand new SYKES for FinTech survey finds many U.S. adults are new customers of monetary applied sciences, particularly in response to the COVID-19 international pandemic.   

SYKES for FinTech’s new report, ​“Americans’ Digital Banking & Consumer Behavior  Shifts in the Era of COVID-19,”​ shares insights from 20-plus questions requested of three,000 U.S. grownup shoppers in June. The report reveals how COVID-19 has affected, and even redefined, how U.S. shoppers now strategy digital banking and monetary applied sciences, and the way they predict their buying habits will look post-pandemic.   

“FinTechs have introduced transformative, easy ways for consumers to engage in  mobile money management and e-commerce, and this survey report points to areas  that seemed anecdotal and confirms them, while also uncovering some new and surprising consumer learnings,” stated Hilary Hahn, Vice President of Rising Manufacturers +  FinTech.   

Highlights from the new report embody:   

● 11% of respondents who use cost apps to ship or obtain cash say they used cellular cost apps for the primary time because of the international pandemic. 

● 16% of respondents who use private finance/funds apps to handle their cash say they used private finance/funds apps for the primary time because of the international pandemic. 

● 21% of respondents who use funding/stock buying and selling apps to handle their cash say they used funding/stock buying and selling apps for the primary time because of the international pandemic. 

● 37% of respondents who order groceries on-line or by an app say they ordered groceries on-line or by an app for the primary time because of the international pandemic.

● 37% of respondents imagine they’ll buy extra gadgets on-line or by an app than they did earlier than the worldwide pandemic. 

● 12% of respondents say they’ll solely use contactless cost going ahead.
