A Hamilton couple who checked right into a downtown resort had their keep lower quick when police arrested the 2 after they tried to pay for his or her room with an allegedly stolen bank card.
Officers have been referred to as all the way down to the Sheraton Resort at 116 King St. W. on Thursday morning round 8:30 a.m. after workers from the resort reported suspicion across the couple’s “monetary capability,” say investigators.
Detectives later decided the bank card the person and lady used to pay for the room didn’t belong to both of them.
After arresting the couple of their resort room, officers found extra bank cards, financial institution playing cards, passports, cheques and pc gear that didn’t belong to the couple.
A 48-year-old man and 38-year-old lady are every dealing with two expenses of fraud below $5,000 and uttering cast paperwork.
Each have a courtroom date in Hamilton to reply expenses in March.
