AMD News – AMD, Xilinx shareholders approve acquisition

shareholders voted to approve AMD’s acquisition of Xilinx, the companies said Wednesday. The deal needs to pass regulatory approvals and is expected to close by the end of 2021. Back in October, AMD announced the $35 billion stock deal, confirming speculation earlier that month. Since speculation of the deal emerged, AMD shares have declined 5.4% while Xilinx shares have rallied nearly 24%, compared with a 38% surge on the PHLX Semiconductor Index
