MONTCLAIR, NJ — Montclair made the highlight on Thanksgiving when American Express used the township as a backdrop for its newest advert marketing campaign supporting small companies.
The video, which provides a view of Valley Highway, bought a heat reception from Montclair Councilman Peter Yacobellis, who beforehand served in a chief of workers position for the World Promoting and Model Administration (GABM) crew at American Express.
“With many present and former workers calling Montclair dwelling, it is no shock to me that the corporate selected our particular nook of the world to make this heartfelt advert in assist of the small companies that give our city a lot of its attraction and character,” Yacobellis mentioned. “I hope via holidays and within the winter months forward, residents proceed to buy and dine small and assist assist companies once they most want it.”
Yacobellis supplied a thumbs-up to chief advertising and marketing officer Elizabeth Rutledge and the complete GABM crew for what he known as a “love letter to Montclair.”

The “Store Small” advert is not the primary time that Montclair and American Express have made a neighborhood connection.
In June, Montclair resident Glenda McNeal grew to become a member of the corporate’s government committee, making her the primary African American girl to sit down on the board.
In 2013, the Montclair Middle Enterprise Enchancment District helped assist greater than 400 native retailers, partnering with American Express for the Rally Your Neighborhood Program, which included free Store Small luggage, welcome mats and free parking.
