American Express – Cape Girardeau begins first vacation weekend with Christmas lighting ceremony | Southeast Missouri
Previous City Cape, Inc. will introduce the vacation season Nov. 27 in Cape Girardeau with its second annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony. Small Enterprise Saturday follows Nov. 28.
The lighting ceremony begins at four p.m. in Vasterling Suites Courtyard, with music to start at 5:30 p.m. and the tree lighting at 6:20 p.m. Components of Fountain Street will likely be closed so attendees can stroll and follow social distancing
The occasion will likely be broadcast on Cape Girardeau’s native information outlet, KFVS12,
“We were overwhelmed with the public response to the tree last year and are honored to bring something to the community which will draw us together,” volunteer Teresa Maurer mentioned. “So, drive by, take pictures, and most importantly, make memories around the tree.”
Small Enterprise Saturday begins the following day. The motion was based in 2010 by American Express and serves to assist native companies.
Purchasing has change into more and more necessary as the worldwide pandemic continues to have an effect on the economic system, in line with Previous City Cape.
