Though the card charges a $450 annual fee (See Review), it offers a whole host of perks, including top-tier elite status, an annual resort credit, and — as mentioned — a free night valid at nearly any Hilton hotel worldwide when you open the card, and every year on your account anniversary.
Even better, Hilton is currently allowing any free weekend night certificate issued prior to January 1, 2022, to be used on any night of the week, not just weekends.

It’s important to note that other Hilton credit cards offer the opportunity to earn free night certificates when you meet spending thresholds:

These Hilton cards don’t come with up to $250 in Hilton resort statement credits like the Hilton Honors American Express Aspire Card does. However, you can redeem weekend night certificates from any Hilton card at the exact same hotels and resorts — you can find the list of exceptions here.
Hotel Del Coronado — Curio Collection by Hilton
Once a playground for the most elite of Hollywood stars (Marilyn Monroe stayed here!), the iconic Hotel del Coronado, Curio Collection by Hilton joined the Hilton Honors program just a couple of years ago, transforming it from a boutique option to a mainstream hotel eligible for Hilton Honors points redemptions.

Standard award nights top out at 95,000 points, but you can redeem your free weekend night certificate here and save your points for another day. Because this hotel is on the list of Hilton’s resorts, you can receive up to $250 in statement credits on hotel purchases made with your Aspire — and this includes room rates.
Grand Wailea, a Waldorf Astoria Resort
If Hawaii has been on your radar, the Grand Wailea, a Waldorf Astoria Resort is an excellent option. While COVID restrictions for travelers to Hawaii continue to evolve, the hotel is open for visitors. Currently, Maui allows travelers to bypass quarantine entirely with an approved pre-travel COVID test and another rapid test on arrival (be sure to check updated rules before you book travel).

This fabulous hotel features a 2,000-foot long pool and is just steps from the beach. The property is expansive, and there are lots of things to do for kids and adults alike. It’s also a resort property, so you’ll have an extra $250 to spend with your Aspire card.
Waldorf Astoria Park City
If outdoor activities are more your style, the Waldorf Astoria Park City offers enviable skiing in the wintertime and gorgeous hiking in the summer. It’s styled like a lodge and its rooms reflect that, with rustic wood touches and cozy fireplaces.

At the height of ski season, it can be tricky to find standard award nights here. But if you can find availability, using a free night certificate can snag you a room you’d otherwise pay over $1,000 for. Off-peak rates are typically half that price — which still an excellent redemption using a free night certificate. This, too, is on Hilton’s resort property list, so you can charge up to $250 during your stay for a statement credit.
Casa Marina, A Waldorf Astoria Resort
Styling itself one of the most legendary hotels in Key West, the Casa Marina Key West, a Waldorf Astoria Resort is located feet from the ocean. And since Florida’s weather is nearly always mild (minus all those rain showers) you can pass any time of the year here while enjoying the wide-open outdoors.

Waldorf Astoria Maldives
Last but certainly not least is perhaps Hilton’s most aspirational award property. Although standard award availability can be hard to find at the Waldorf Astoria Maldives, if you’re able to snag a night you’ll be redeeming your certificate for a room that regularly runs into the thousands of dollars a night.
