A former senior adviser at American Categorical Co. has resigned from the Webster Bank board of administrators simply three months after becoming a member of, citing a possible regulatory battle.
James P. Bush notified Waterbury, Connecticut-based Webster Bank, which has branches all through the Larger Boston space, of his resignation on Sept. 9, the bank stated in an SEC 8-Ok report. The assertion stated Bush resigned “to remedy a potential inadvertent regulatory conflict with respect to his simultaneous service on the board of directors of GBT JerseyCo Limited.”
American Categorical World Enterprise Journey Jersey Co. Ltd. is a part of a subsidiary of American Categorical Co. Bush had retired from American Categorical Co. in 2018 as senior advisor to the chairman and CEO.
“Mr. Bush is not resigning from the board due to any disagreement with the Company on any matter relating to the company’s operations, policies, or practices,” the bank stated. “Mr. Bush expressed his continued support of the board, the management team and the company.”
Bush was serving on the of GBT JerseyCo Restricted board of administrators when he joined the Webster board in June.
