AstraZeneca News – First AstraZeneca vaccine arrives in Croatia
The first 16,800 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine arrived in Croatia on Saturday, which will be distributed throughout Croatia for the vaccination of citizens as of Monday, Croatian Government spokesman, Marko Milić, reported via Twitter.
Milić also reported that we expect the delivery of 150,000 doses of vaccine from that manufacturer by the end of the month.
The director of the Croatian Institute of Public Health, Krunoslav Capak, said on Friday that vaccination would begin next week and there was no reason to recommend that the vaccine was not effective for people over 65.
He pointed out that none of the respondents, who received the vaccine, had a severe form of the disease and were not hospitalized, which means that the vaccine is almost 100 percent effective against more severe forms of the disease.
