Bank of America declared both senior and junior students from top schools at the Sarasota-Manatee region were chosen as this year’s Student Advisors ® (#BofAStudentLeaders). The six-week paid summer internship program can help strengthen the pupils’ leadership skills, civic participation, and labor skills-building. In light of the health issues which stay in local communities, the application was adapted into a digital format, whereby pupils will have the chance to take part in sessions which will expose them into the very important role that nonprofits play in advancing public health, the value of public private partnerships to advance social change, and a focus on developing financial acumen. Anayeli Alvarado, Bradenton, Southeast High School: A 2020 graduate, attending SCF at the Summertime and led to USF St. Pete at the autumn. Anayeli was a committed member of the school’s Student Government Association who also volunteered a week as a mentor in Samoset Elementary School. Maya Dean-Elois, Bradenton, Braden River High School: Entering her senior year, is net editor-in-chief for the school’s newspaper, the Spyglass, and also a volunteer. Maya is dedicated to serving her peers and community.
