The Panthers announced Monday that for their final home game against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday, capacity at Bank of America Stadium will be reduced from just over 5,500 fans down to 1,500.
The decision was made after consulting with local government and public health officials, according to the release. The attendance in the stadium itself will be limited to family and friends of both the Panthers and Saints players and staff, and some private suites will be open.
“This decision was made as a result of an ongoing conversation with local government and public health officials and a review of the latest COVID-19 data and guidance,” Mark Hart, Tepper Sports & Entertainment vice president and chief operating officer, said in the release.
“As we have done throughout this season, we look forward to providing a safe and enjoyable game day experience for all those in attendance.”
