(WQOW) – Ahead of the COVID-19 pandemic sporting any type of face mask at a bank was illegal. Now, it is a necessity.
While sprays are compulsory in most bank lobbies, differentiating clients is critical to bank safety, therefore the Wisconsin Bankers Association states a couple of protocols may be moving into effect.
Clients could be requested to reduce their masks and examine the safety cameras upon entering the building, requested to lower their hide when coming a teller to allow the staff identify them have to answer extra identification questions.
“Masks aren’t normally something which we’d have permitted at a bank, but clearly everybody’s security and their health is at top of mind here,” explained Rose Oswald Poels, president and CEO of the Wisconsin Bankers Association. “We are trying to balance the interest in keeping everyone safe from a health standpoint and ensuring we keep your money secure and just allow the proper individuals take money from your accounts.”
Oswald Poels stated each bank will have its safety protocols and also to contact individual branches together with mask-related questions.
