M&T Bank Corporation has attracted on Francesco Lagutaine as senior vice president and chief marketing and communications officer, effective Aug. 17. Lagutaine joins M&T from financial services firm Manulife, where he was chief marketing and expertise design officer. He was formerly head of consumer franchise in Citibank Asia Pacific, and has held senior posts at advertising agencies such as Ogilvy & Mather; Goodby, Silverstein & Partners; and Saatchi & Saatchi. “Francesco’s expertise in leading transformative, customer-focused marketing and communications strategies, coupled with his passion for creativity, design and innovation, make him uniquely qualified to help us present the very best version of our company,” stated Christopher Kay, M&T executive vice president and head of consumer banking, business banking and promotion.
Tech Data, a supply firm specializing in IT goods and solutions, has named Jill Kermes business vice president of corporate communications. Kermes comes to Tech Data from technician startup Lumina, where she had been senior vice president, communications. Before that, she had been senior vice president, communications for HSN and its parent firm, HSNi; main company affairs officer in Sea World Parks and Entertainment; and communications manager for former Florida governor Jeb Bush. In her new role, Kermes can direct Tech Data’s internal and external communications plan and groups on a worldwide basis. . “She brings deep experience in strategic communications at a critical and exciting juncture for our company,” stated Tech Data CEO Rich Hume.

Crosby Marketing Communications has promoted Ron Ordansa and Elise Kolaja to vice president, creative manager. Ordansa continues to be with Crosby because 1997, and has directed national branding and innovative campaigns for these clients and triggers as Disabled American Veterans, Catholic Relief Services, and the CDC. Kolaja combined Crosby in 2003 as a creative director and copywriter. She’s directed marketing and behaviour change campaigns to market subjects from organ donation and poverty consciousness of suicide prevention and mental health services, working together with customers such as Kaiser Permanente, Military OneSource and the Veterans Health Administration.
