The socket reported that the hacked tweets had led followers to send Bitcoin to reports which were connected with the Tampa adolescent.
The Twitter hack July 15th originally targeted Bitcoin-related accounts, but expanded to include reports of high-profile actors and politicians like Elon Musk, Bill Gates, Kanye West, Jeff Bezos, Mike Bloomberg, Joe Biden as well as former president Barack Obama.
