The Dow Jones Industrial Average is trading up Wednesday morning with shares of Chevron and Microsoft leading the way for the index. Shares of Chevron and Microsoft are contributing to the index’s intraday rally, as the Dow is trading 100 points higher (0.3%). Chevron’s shares are up $2.12 (2.2%) while those of Microsoft have climbed $4.38, or 1.5%, combining for an approximately 43-point bump for the Dow. Walgreens Boots Dow Inc. and American Express are also contributing significantly to the gain. A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the Dow equates to a 6.58-point swing.
