SIBU: A feminine clerk had RM25,000 charged to 2 bank cards after she was cheated into believing that she had received a fortunate draw.
Sibu district police chuef ACP Stanley Jonathan Ringgit stated Saturday (March 21) that on March 18, the 54-year outdated sufferer was at her residence in Jalan Kangkong when she acquired a textual content message informing her that she had received RM8,888 in a Enhance app contest.
Nevertheless, she ignored the message.
A couple of minutes later, she once more acquired a message in her WhatsApp from a person who stated she was the fortunate winner of RM8,888 in a fortunate draw.
“The person requested her to supply her bank card info in order that the prize cash might be transferred to her,” he added.
