Bitcoin price LIVE: Bitcoin CRASHES below $6,000 in mass cryptocurrency sell-off

BITCOIN has slipped close to $6,000 a coin again this morning, as the cryptocurrency market cap falls below $200 billion, losing more than 25 percent value in a week. Here are the latest news and live updates.

Despite yesterday’s small gains, the cryptocurrency market is tumbling drastically, with bitcoin dropping dangerously close to $6,000 a coin again.

BTC lost 6.36 percent on the day to sit at $6,007.80, having dropped briefly below $6,000 in the early hours of the morning.

Ethereum fell a whopping 17.14 percent to trade for $264.40.

dropped 13.53 percent to sell for $0.263026, while Litecoin lost 14.52 percent to trade at $4.34.

The downward trend continues as the market slips lower and lower.

Some analysts predict an upturn in the coming month when the Securities and Exchange Commission decides if they will approve of a bitcoin exchange-traded fund (ETF), that would see prices rocket up.
