Walt Disney World Resort hotels are offering guests a special package for ringing in the new year. This package, available at most quick-service hotel locations, includes sparkling wine and chocolate truffles.
Guests at Disney’s Pop Century Resort and Disney’s Art of Animation Resort Resorts will get a bottle of Ruffino Prosecco D.O.C., while guests at the Moderate and Deluxe resorts will get a bottle of François Montand Blanc de Blancs Brut.
We picked up our package at the BoardWalk Bakery, where we got the François Montand Blanc de Blancs Brut. Disney describes this wine as “aromas of white flowers and citrus fruit give way to a creamy and smooth palate with flavors of freshly baked bread, golden delicious apples, and Meyer lemons.”
Along with the bottle, we got one flute to pour the sparkling wine into. Do note that while initially two flutes were supposed to be offered (to split the wine between two glasses for a toast), the resorts did not receive enough flutes to offer two per package. We’d recommend mobile ordering this while it’s still early on in the day, before flutes run out and you end up with a plain plastic cup.
The chocolate truffles come in a box themed after Cinderella’s coach. The truffles are from The Ganachery at Disney Springs and are decorated with Mickey and Minnie.
The Mickey truffle is milk chocolate and the Minnie truffle is dark chocolate! We think is a great treat to celebrate New Year’s Eve, especially considering the limited entertainment options.
The package with François Montand Blanc de Blancs Brut is $17 while the package with Ruffino Prosecco D.O.C. is $15. Check our post yesterday for a list of quick-service restaurants where the packages are available. Additionally, they are available at hotel restaurants currently offering a to-go option. This includes Sanaa at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge – Kidani Village and Ale & Compass at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort.
