(K23) v.s. 100 Ping Gods (1PG) (10:00 AM EST)
A rematch between these two teams now goes underway and it happens to be two teams with rankings in a similar range, but K23 may be expected to have the slight upper hand ranked at 38th while 1PG is at 49th. Outside of map one the series ended up really close in favor of 1PG. Also, K23 has the better team overall K/D right now (1.04) versus 1PG’s 0.96 so the slaying has a chance to go in favor of K23 at the moment. Fame of K23 happened to be the most efficient slayer in the last series these teams met and the crazy part is that mou didn’t even have that well of a game. Luckily, for K23, fame has been one of the more consistent players within their last loss with a +1 kill-death differential and +14 in their win before that. Also, fame averages the most damage for K23 still (80.5) so he should be expected to be an annoyance on the map. On the other hand, smiley was able to be the more efficient sniper for his squad while mou was slowed down in the last matchup, but that can change this time around due to mou being the more consistent player as of late (+22 kill-death differential) compared to smiley’s (+1) during this ladder.
Virtus.Pro (VP) v.s. Entropiq (ENT) (10:00 AM EST)
VP have finally showed signs of life and was able to get their first win in the ladder so far and now get a good opportunity to get a win-streak going as they face ENT. Although, ENT won’t be a walk in the park matchup they were swept by the team that VP was just able to defeat so this bodes well for VP. It also doesn’t help that VP swept ENT 2-0 last time they faced off. Jame and buster had +20 and +17 kill-death differentials for their VP squad in that last matchup while El1an was ENT’s most efficient slayer but with a negative kill-death differential. In addition, Jame has still been VP’s most efficient player as of now regardless of the recent losses they had which can be trouble for ENT. There has also been a trend as of late with El1an having double digit kill-differentials in order to help get his team wins which can’t be relied on every time in order to succeed, therefore his teammates have to step it up. However, if El1an is unable to outduel Jame in sniping on the map which he was unsuccessful at last time it may end up being a long match for ENT and can possibly result in a sweep again in favor of VP.
(FORZE) v.s. Nemiga (NEM) (12:30 PM EST)
FORZE enter this match looking to rebound after being dominated by arguably the second-best team at the moment, but now have a chance to get back on track against NEM who they’ve swept before in the last series they met 2-0. Zorte ended up as the leading slayer for FORZE as he took control of the game with the sniper for his team. However, the matchup was close in the two maps with NEM losing by only 3 rounds so they can’t be overlooked right away. IDIS(BA)LANCE was also the top slayer for NEM in that matchup with mds being the most efficient with a +9 kill-death differential. IDIS(BA)LANCE has been the more consistent player, however with a +13 kill-death differential so far compared to mds’ -44 kill-death differential. In other words, the sniper duel between zorte and iDIS(BA)LANCE may be crucial for their team’s success which may go iDIS(BA)LANCE’s way this time around since he was able to maintain a positive kill-death differential against one of the best snipers in the game in s1mple, while zorte was not able to do as well against him like iDIS(BA)LANCE has, although the performance wasn’t good enough to get NEM the win.
Natus Vincere (NAVI) v.s. Gambit (GY) (12:30 PM EST)
The battle of the titans, also known as the top two teams in the game face off yet again and NAVI has yet to defeat GY lately. Although both teams are on a win-streak, GY has caught more fire on their’s for a total of twelve straight wins compared to NAVI’s three. In addition, GY has a 5-1 record against NAVI during this year, but there could be a chance of revenge here for NAVI. S1mple and sh1ro go at it in their sniper battles in the majority of their faceoffs but as of late s1mple is averaging more damage per round in this ladder (91.8) while sh1ro is averaging 84.6. This battle between this teams will also be significant because it would place on of them at the top of the standings for this ladder with a win while the other would receive their first loss of this season. NAVI currently has more clutches (33) than GY at the moment (28) which may end up giving NAVI the slight edge if this game goes down to the wire. But, GY have shown that they can dominate without sh1ro playing crazily well while NAVI relies heavily on s1mple to do well so the sniper mains definitely can be a huge factor for which team gets the win depending on how well they perform.
