LoL Esports DFS Picks: DraftKings LPL Breakdown
It will be a battle of two very different seasons that clash in this matchup, as TES takes on what should be a very hungry IG. TES has been a bit more up and down than expected entering this split, and while IG has enough challenge to contend, TES is a clear favorite here. JackeyLove leads the team in damage share this split, and he is up against a weak point for IG, making him a potentially solid LoL DFS option.
IG is running out of time to enter the playoff picture, as a loss here all but eliminates them from contention. With the collective talent level of the team, it is shocking to see such negative results, but with that collective talent comes a bit of eccentricity in the form of TheShy. Needless to say when TheShy is on, he is nigh unstoppable, even with the anchor that is the IG bot lane, and tonight a rookie is on the table, allowing him to have some LoL DFS viability.
Losing to FPX is hardly a big issue, and the fact that it was a competitive 2-1 series keeps SN firmly in the mix as a scary playoff team in the near future. SN gets a layup in the first LPL series of the night in the form of V5, and tonight when deciding which SN players to roster for LoL DFS, taking a glance at ownership and finding which one or two to get over the field on is a great start.

Hapless V5 is well on to being winless once again this split, and their best shot at getting a win this split likely comes in their last series against LGD. Ambitious LoL DFS players will look at the incredibly low owned V5 on a three-game slate and think why not, whereas the real question is why.
It would be really easy to write this series off as a straightforward LNG win, but LNG is not exactly the same team they were at the start of the split, on top of RW just playing better recently. This does not mean LNG should not win, just that it could be more difficult, and as the team more likely to drop a game, it makes their LoL DFS prospects shakier than SN. Tarzan will almost always be the best safest piece of LNG, and it helps that he leads the team in kill participation (KP), which allows him to further stand out tonight.
RW is unlikely to be as unpopular as they probably should be on this slate, as the other underdog on this slate is V5, but since it is a two game LoL DFS slate, taking shots on the team that just took a game off TES is pretty appealing. Naturally going crazy on RW is unlikely to be a recipe for success, but outside of a loss to TT, RW has been playing better since the addition of Xiaohao. Betty is quietly having a solid season, and his form, and LNG’s shakiness sets himself up well for LoL DFS tonight.
TOP – bin. Everyone on SN is wildly playable for LoL DFS, and all should be incredibly popular, but bin is the most talented top laner on the slate, and someone potentially to consider getting over the field tonight.
Favorite Contrarian Pick
ADC – Betty. Taking on an up and down LNG bot lane, Betty pretty much only has to worry if LNG sends their entire team to kill them early to ruin their tempo here. On the whole RW are worth taking shots on, but not getting crazy for, but Betty does stand out.
