Losses across sectors pulled the headline indices lower, with financial, oil & gas and metal shares being the biggest contributors to the fall. Broader markets also struggled deep below the flatline, with the Nifty Midcap 100 and Nifty Smallcap 100 indices falling as much as around two percent in morning deals.
