Rep. Doug Collins, R-Ga., says airways ought to honor freedom of expression for all passengers, not simply those that assist the Black Lives Matter motion.
Frontier Airways in early September caught flak for prohibiting a federal air marshal from boarding a flight in Atlanta on account of his face overlaying, which featured an American flag. American Airways final week joined a rising variety of corporations which have acknowledged BLM and adjusted its coverage to indicate assist for the trigger.
“The airways shouldn’t be doing this, particularly while you’re coping with our federal legislation enforcement officers,” Collins informed Newsmax TV’s “The Chris Salcedo Present.”
“They’re defending us, they’re those on the market which are taking good care of these airways. That is simply flawed and after they try this, it is an assault. . . . These companies and organizations should be truthful and trustworthy. Freedom of expression and the First Modification applies to all people, not simply their political paid operatives they’ve.”
Frontier referred to as the incident a misunderstanding.
“The gate agent mistakenly believed that the passenger’s gaiter fashion masks was not acceptable inside our masks coverage and the passenger grossly misinterpreted the reasoning behind her objection to his masks,” Frontier informed Fox Information in an announcement.
