China Southern FTSE China China Enterprises Open All-Win ETF opens for subscription today
Sep 14, 2021 (China Knowledge) – China Southern FTSE China China Enterprises Open All-Win ETF (517183) is launched today for subscription. The fund is a passive equity index fund managed by China Southern Asset Management Co.,Ltd. This fund builds a portfolio by buying all/part of the index to track the performance of the selected index.
Our records show the company is currently managing 264 funds with aggregate AUM of RMB 888.27 bln.
The investment manager Gong Tao has over 2 years of experience. He has previously developed expertise in mitigating various risks, optimizing fund performance, and has a PhD’s degree. Currently there are 7 funds under his management, totaled RMB 3,315 mln asset under management (AUM).
Gong seeks to invest the fund mostly in the manufacturing, finance and electricity, heat, gas, water production & supply industry. The top 5 holdings in his current portfolio are Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited (300750), EVE Energy Co., Ltd. (300014), Sungrow Power Supply Co., Ltd. (300274), Ganfeng Lithium Co., Ltd. (002460) and Wuxi Lead Intelligent Equipment Co.,Ltd. (300450), among which the best performing security rose 52.51% over the past 3 months.
China Southern CSI New Energy ETF (516160) which he manages, since 22 Jan 2021, performed the best recording 61.70% in terms of annualized return, exceeded its peers’ average return. Over the past 6 months, it has realized a total gain of 60.29%.
His other 6 funds are China Security Southern Well-off Industry Index ETF Linked Fund (004346), China Southern WP CSI 100 Index Fund (005691), China Southern CSI Internet Index Fund(LOF) (160137), China Security Southern Well-off Industry Index ETF Linked Fund (202021) and so on offer annualized performance from 18% to 21%.
China Knowledge tracks and monitors fund managers’ all historical performance to assess one’s resiliency when handling market volatilities. In this respect Gong is given a ‘B’ rating. This rating means the returns on some his managed funds exceeded the average of similar funds or correspond with market benchmarks. His risk control among all fund managers is average. On resiliency against market volatilities he has made rational decisions, and obtained slightly better returns. The highest rating for a fund manager is an ‘A+’ to subsequent lower order of ‘A’, ‘B’, ‘C’ and the lowest is ‘D’.
