Cyberpunk 2077 – Cyberpunk 2077 data miner discovers unused quest files – Jioforme
Cyberpunk 2077 Data Minor has discovered a new file that references an unreleased Street Story Quest. This may refer to future DLC.
Talking to Eurogamer, modder romulus_is_here said the file appeared after a large 1.2 patch. Cyberpunk main quests are usually divided into three categories: prologue, part 1, and epilogue, numbered from q000 to q204. However, outside the normal range, there are some quests numbered q301.
According to Romulus_is_here, the quest named “story-ep1” in the file could refer to the game’s “first large story-based DLC”. About 5 files related to “ep1” have been in the game since its release, but 220 files have been found since the 1.2 patch.
Not all files still seem to be fully fleshed out, and some contain only placeholder text. However, there are references to new characters, such as a quest character called Wagner and another character centered around a character called Anthony Anderson. A new group called Kurtz Militia has also been mentioned in the quest, which includes the situation of hostages.
If this is a future DLC, romulus_is_here said, “I believe that most of the street stories featured in Episode 1 will be Pacifica-centric.” Looking at the file, it makes sense. In the new location, New Comers Haven, Pacifica fixer Hands is doing a quest.
Of course, until CD Projekt Red announces, it’s all just speculation. That will probably be for a while. Patch 1.2 was massive and there were nearly 500 bug fixes on the PC, but there’s still work to be done. Street stories may appear as part of a previously announced free DLC, but their size suggests they may be a paid extension.
CDPR released a cyberpunk hotfix earlier this week. This prevents nasty cops from teleporting behind you during a roof crime and also includes a bundle of other small tweaks.
