Morgantown, West Virginia – West Virginia University’s Inter-University Athletics Club Michael Honeywell As an assistant athletic director for ticket operations.
In his new role, Honeywell directs the day-to-day operations of the Mountaineer Ticket Office. He plans and manages the sale, allocation and distribution of all athletics events for which he has purchased tickets, and serves as the primary ticket liaison with the Mountaineer Athletic Club for priority seat planning and customer service.
He oversees the ticket office staff and works directly with the athletics office to manage the department’s use of the Paciolan ticket system with an emphasis on digital / mobile tickets.

Honeywell came to West Virginia from the University of Pennsylvania and was the director of ticket sales and services at the Ivy League School. At Penn, he was responsible for managing all ticket offices at historic venues such as Palestra and Franklin Field, and for ticket sales and operation of the famous Penn Relays, the largest and oldest outdoor athletics event in the United States. ..
He started at the ticket office in Pennsylvania in 2015, became an assistant director in 2016, and took the lead role in 2018. Prior to entering Pennsylvania, Honeywell spent time with the Owl Club in Temple and was a wrestling manager in East Stroudsburg from 2013 to 2015.

Flourtown, Pennsylvania holds a bachelor’s degree in sports management from East Stroudsburg and competed for the Warriors in wrestling from 2011 to 2013. He received a master’s degree in sports management from Drexel in 2019.
