Some Bank of America customers have reported seeing an inaccurate balance on their accounts online, but the company says client accounts haven’t been impacted in the glitch. Several Twitter users posted about the glitch Wednesday, saying their accounts were showing a $0 balance. Bank of America Help tweeted in response that clients should check their “individual account view” for the correct balance. “Some clients may currently see an inaccurate account balance when viewing their account summary in online banking/mobile. Clients should click the individual account view for their correct balance. Client accounts have not been impacted,” the account tweeted. Customer information is also still secure, Mark Pipitone, a company spokesperson, said in an emailed statement to McClatchy News. Pipitone said the company is working to fix the problem “as quickly as possible.” Bank of America has directed concerned clients to other ways they can view their account balance, Pipitone told McClatchy. It’s unclear how many customers have been impacted by the glitch.
