Ellen Loraine Howell
WILMINGTON — Ellen Loraine Howell, 80, handed away Monday, Aug. 10, 2020. Ellen was born March 21, 1940, in Wilmington to Edna Ormsby Lengthy and John Corba Lengthy.
Ellen was very energetic in her neighborhood and loved life to its fullest. She loved snow snowboarding, enjoying tennis, bowling, enjoying golf, portray and using her horse.
Alongside together with her sister-in-law, Ann Howell, they coordinated the Vintage Present for the Burgaw Blueberry Competition, which supported the Burgaw Practice Depot restoration effort. Ellen, alongside together with her cousin, Nita Phillips, spent many hours doing genealogical analysis on their household tree. Ellen additionally loved a profitable profession with Bank of America.
Ellen is survived by son, James Howell Jr.; son, Michael Howell (Donna); granddaughters, Samantha Howell and Courtney Howell; step-grandson, Shaun Ellis; and step-granddaughter, Meagan Lalonde.
Ellen was preceded in dying by her husband, James Howell Sr.; father, John Corba Lengthy; mom, Edna Ormsby Lengthy; brother, Herbert Ormsby; and sister, Laura Register.
A graveside service for Ellen can be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 15, at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
