Mississippi native and tv information character Sheperd Smith will premiere on a brand new present later this month on CNBC.
Smith, who grew up in Holly Springs and attended the College of Mississippi, shocked long-time FOX Information views final October when he introduced he was leaving FOX after greater than 20 years.
He angered some viewers in 2017 when he debunked a narrative that one other FOX Information host had promoted as being true. The story concerned former First Woman and U.S. Senator Hillary Clinton.
In his on-air departure Smith mentioned, partly:
“Even in our currently polarized nation, it’s my hope that the facts will win the day. That the truth will always matter. That journalism and journalists will thrive. I’m Shepard Smith, Fox News, New York.”
His new CNBC present will likely be known as “The News with Shepard Smith.”
It’ll premiere at 6 p.m. Central on September 30 on CNBC.
The present will likely be one-hour in size and broadcast dwell every weeknight from CNBC’s headquarters in New Jersey.
The present will likely be reaired at 11 p.m. and three a.m. Central.
