Confirming the incident, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, stated Nketim-Rex was lifeless earlier than the police have been notified.
Adejobi added that the Divisional Police Officer and the Space Commander each intervened however there was nothing that might have been accomplished to save lots of the deceased.
He stated, “On January 15, 2021, we have been knowledgeable round 11.20 pm. On attending to the scene, policemen met his lifeless physique however relations insisted that he was not lifeless.
