Ferrari News – Drag Race: Ferrari 488 Pista Spider Vs. Porsche 911 Turbo S Cabriolet
To extract more performance, the Porsche 992 Turbo S is fitted with a custom cat-back exhaust and is tuned to produce around 775 hp, while the 488 Pista is putting down 850 hp thanks to an ECU tune, new downpipes, and a new air box. While the Pista has more power, the 911 Turbo’s all-wheel drive setup gives it a clear advantage.
The German sports car puts the power down quicker, enabling it to post a faster quarter-mile time than its rival. However, the result is closer than you might have expected, as the 488 Pista didn’t finish far behind. The 911 Turbo S Cabriolet crossed the quarter-mile in 9.90 seconds at 143.41 mph, whereas the 488 Pista Spider finished in 9.97 seconds at 143.31 mph.
