Loans – Alleged illegality in getting loans from Banks
MLA calls for high-level probe into Rifa-hul-Muslimeen Academic Belief
Mysuru: Accusing town’s Rifa-hul-Muslimeen Academic Belief (RMET), performing from Farooqia Academic Complicated, Farooqia Highway, Eidgah, of illegally getting loans from banks after pledging pretend paperwork pertaining to Wakf properties and CA (Civic Facilities) websites of MUDA, NR Congress MLA Tanveer Sait has demanded a high-level probe in opposition to the Trustees, Bank officers and officers of assorted Authorities Departments, who have been allegedly hand-in-glove with the Belief.
In a letter written to Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa, Tanveer Sait, who can also be the Member, Board of Wakf, stated that RMET had availed a complete of Rs. 8.95 crore loan in 4 instalments from Tilaknagar department of Canara Bank within the interval between Dec. 13, 2007 and Jan. 25, 2010 to fulfill administrative bills.
Though the Belief paid six month-to-month instalments of loan within the interval from Sept. 2007 to Feb. 2008, it quickly turned a debtor because it did not repay remaining instalments, following which Canara Bank issued a press notification on June 29, 2015 saying that it had connected 82,750 sq.ft of landed property in Udayagiri owned by the Belief and 84,000 sq.ft of landed property close to Eidgah in Tilaknagar, belonging to Wakf Board. However Wakf Board, paying attention to the Bank’s attachment notification, wrote to the Bank informing that as per the Wakf Act of the State and Union Governments, no one had the fitting to pledge or promote Wakf Board properties, following which the Bank dropped 84,000 sq.ft of land close to Eidgah from attachment. However Canara Bank has issued a notification saying that it could public sale the 82,750 sq.ft of land at Udayagiri and the personal property of the Belief at Belavatta village, by way of on-line tomorrow (Nov. 30), Sait stated.
Sustaining that Udayagiri land too belonged to Wakf Board, Sait urged the CM to direct Canara Bank to stall on-line public sale of landed property and thus save property of Wakf Board
