CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) -The Cedar Rapids facility that offers with sewage-called wastewater-is reaching the top of its lifespan.

This week, the EPA invited the town to use for a $218 million loan to assist pay for renovations on the Water Air pollution Management Facility.

Town first accepted the beginning of $480 million greenback enchancment mission in March 2020 for the ability on Bertram Highway SE, alongside the Cedar River.

Cedar Rapids Utilities Director Roy Hesemann instructed KCRG-TV9 the upgrades shall be spanned out for 20 years.
