The total value of mortgages granted in December 2020 increased month on month while the total value of consumer loans fell, Poland’s central bank has reported.
The total value of mortgages granted in December 2020 increased by PLN 5.48 billion (EUR 1.17 billion) month on month to PLN 494.75 billion (EUR 109.9 billion), the National Bank of Poland (NBP) wrote on Tuesday.
The value of mortgages in foreign currencies grew month on month by PLN 2.68 billion (EUR 595.6 million) to PLN 121.3 billion (EUR 26.9 billion).
The value of mortgages in the Polish zloty went up month on month by PLN 2.8 billion (EUR 622.2 million) to PLN 373.45 billion (EUR 82.9 billion).
The total value of consumer loans granted in December 2020 decreased by PLN 1.04 billion (EUR 231.1 million) month on month to PLN 201.22 billion (EUR 44.72 billion).
