Luxury LifeStyle – Ireland Ranks Among Top 20 Countries To Travel To
Ireland has been ranked among the top 20 countries in the world to travel to, listed at 11th place.
The list of 20 countries was compiled by US publication Condé Nast Traveller, which has long been regarded as one of the leading luxury lifestyle and travel magazines in the world.
While Ireland secured 11th place on the prestigious list, earning an average satisfaction rating of 91.50, Italy won out overall, with an average satisfaction rating of 94.05.
Sri Lanka and Portugal were named in second and third place, earning satisfaction ratings of 93.96 and 93.39 respectively.
In fourth place came Japan, with a satisfaction rating of 93.35, while Greece ranked fifth, with a score of 93.32.
Condé Nast Traveller has favoured Ireland in the past, naming Ballyfin House in Co Laois as the 13th best hotel in its Readers Choice Awards.
Condé Nast Traveller also named Adare Manor in Co Limerick as the top resort in Europe in its Readers Choice Awards.
The publication has also compiled lists of its favourite destinations within Ireland, including a ranking of the most picturesque and beautiful towns and villages in the country.
Other countries that featured on the top 20 list of travel destinations included: Indonesia, Thailand, South Africa, Vietnam and Mexico.
