Mortgage Applications Increased 4.2% in Second Week of June” width=”124″ height=”126″ class=”hidden-xs”/>
Washington, DC, June 16, 2021-Mortgage applications increased 4.2% from one week earlier, according to data from the Mortgage Bankers Association’s (M(BA)) Weekly Mortgage Applications Survey for the week ending June 11, 2021.
The previous week’s results included an adjustment for the Memorial Day holiday.
The Market Composite Index, a measure of mortgage loan application volume, increased 4.2% on a seasonally adjusted basis from one week earlier. On an unadjusted basis, the Index increased 15% compared with the previous week. The Refinance Index increased 6% from the previous week and was 22% lower than the same week one year ago. The seasonally adjusted Purchase Index increased 2% from one week earlier. The unadjusted Purchase Index increased 11% compared with the previous week and was 17% lower than the same week one year ago.
