RESTON, Va. — Together with card strategies on board using the brand new April 2021 deadline for EMV compliance, Transaction Network Services (TNS) has introduced TNSLink for Retail to upgrade automated fuel dispensers (AFD) and make other improvements that are necessary.
“Enabling chip readers and other modern payments technologies will require upgrading not only the fuel dispensers, but also the network infrastructure, to securely support EMV payments at the forecourt while providing speed and reliability,” stated Brian DuCharme, vice president of product management in TNS.
TNSLink for Retail is a controlled connectivity solution to retail shops which joins a range of devices, including indoor and outdoor payment systems, PIN pads, AFDs and networking apparatus that stream material and support back office systems, all while securing payment devices and information communications. Besides being licensed by Verifone and Gilbarco as a Managed Network Service Provider (MNSP) alternative, TNSLink features gas and convenience retailers attributes such as:
- Adaptive broadband connection providers.
- Wireless backup connectivity solutions through TNS’ private protected APN.
- Automated failover and fallback of link, together with redundant hardware configurations out there.
- Managed LAN/Ethernet swap providers.
- Seller management providers of carriers supplying connectivity options.
- Simplified setup , including “zero-touch” setup and self explanatory deployment tools.
- Measure 1 Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS) certification.
- Full-time active network and device tracking.
- An international network of links to obligations hosts, apparatus tracking hosts, media articles hosts, cloud hosted solutions and other destination server providers.
