Epic Games has shown a video dedicated to Unreal Engine and the upcoming next-gen releases that make use of the most widely used multiplatform technology in the industry. The company recalls that Unreal Engine is optimized for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S, they have worked closely with console manufacturers and dozens of developers or publishers use Unreal Engine 4 for their upcoming games. “Unreal Engine 5 will be available in preview in early 2021, and with a full release by the end of the year, compatible with the new generation of consoles, the current one, PC, Mac iOS and Android.
