Playstation 5 – Try and Get Home from Work in The Plane Effect, Coming to PS5 This Year
Like most people on their final day of employment at a workplace, Solo finds themselves in a bit of a weird position. Do you work your butt off and go out with a bang or slack off and run the clock down before leaving forever? No matter which option you act upon, The Plane Effect starts once the day is done. Solo tries to head home after leaving work for the final time, but whether you actually make it there is another story entirely. In fact, it’s the one Studio Kiku will tell.
Coming to PlayStation 5 at some point this year, this adventure game set in a dystopian future is sure to have your mind racing. The trailer above plays it somewhat vague and so too is the accompanying description:
It is your last day, it is time to clock out and head home. But where is home? And what is home? Are you alone, Solo? The Plane Effect puts you in the shoes of Solo, a lonely office worker on his final day at the office and it is time to return to your beautiful family. You do have a family, don’t you? You think you do. You remember having a wife and child… you’re sure of it. Toying with your grip of reality and distorting the balance of time and space, Solo battles adversity as he traverses the abstruse and deeply aesthetic world of The Plane Effect.
Interestingly, there’s no PlayStation 4 version of The Plane Effect insight. Let’s hope the PS5’s DualSense controller features and SSD are all taken advantage of as a result — it would be cool to see indies bring their unique ideas to these sorts of options. As far as we can tell, the game is also the debut title from Studio Kiku. Exciting stuff, then! Are you interested in the setup of The Plane Effect?
