The PlayStation Plus Collection was already going to be a huge new bonus for PS5 owners, and now it’s gotten just a little bit better.
As I noted earlier, the PS Plus Collection makes PS Plus a better service all around so long as you have a PS5. It also makes the PS5 a better system, since you have a bunch of games to play at launch, even if they’re all PS4 games.
Still, they’re some of the best PS4 games and according to Sony, they’ll benefit from the PS5’s faster load times and more powerful hardware, with improved framerates as well. I’m hoping that Bloodborne in particular loads faster and tops out at higher FPS.
In any case, Sony just announced that some more games would be coming to the PS Plus Collection when it launches on November 12th (November 19th in some countries).
These new games are Call of Duty: Black Ops III – Zombies Chronicles Edition and the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy. I guess Activision has come onboard, joining publishers like EA and Bethesda (weirdly enough, given that company’s recent acquisition by Microsoft). Also, Final Fantasy XV is now the Royal Edition, so that’s cool.
All these games are free for PS Plus subscribers so long as your subscription is active.
