September was a quiet month for PS5 stock drops, with a few appearing online in the early weeks.
And while things have been pretty disappointing so far, the good news is that there will be at least one major drop in PS5 stock in the coming days.
This week could be the biggest for those looking to buy a PlayStation 5 console before the big holiday season.
Argos, GAME and BT will all be restocked on PS5 consoles from what has been shared so far.
This could mean that between September 14 and September 17 this month is your best chance to buy a next-gen slot machine.
The news comes straight from PS5 Stock UK – a reliable stock tracker account on Twitter – which offers the best guide to what happens next.
The latest from PS5 Stock UK reads: “PlayStation 5 (GAME) News: PlayStation 5 consoles (+bundles) due to release this week were delayed for a week due to GAME’s in-store Series X sale this week.
“PS5s at GAME are now expected between September 14-16 with possible delivery by September 24.”
“PlayStation 5 (Argos) Exclusive News: PlayStation 5 consoles are now leaving warehouses across the country and making their way to local stores. This process usually takes several days. Replenishment expected between September 14 and 17 after 8 a.m..”
And the good news is that while Argos and GAME will provide the best resources this week, there will be one more.
BT is also expected to be restocking the PS5 around the same time as the others, making another choice for those who are existing customers.
Knowing when a PS5 replenishment is due can be vital, but it’s also worth knowing how each retailer handles their shipments.
And here are a few examples of how best to try and buy a PlayStation 5 console from leading UK retailers:
ARGOS: The Argos website is notorious for crashing and not being able to complete purchases when there is a lot of site traffic. Inventory trackers recommend using the Argos mobile app and keeping an eye on local store listings.
GAME: GAME is a UK retailer offering the most regular stock updates for PS5 consoles. However, console hunters have been warned to use Guest Checkout as this option is less likely to crash when completing a purchase. The next PS5 stock is expected around September 14.
AMAZON UNITED KINGDOM: Amazon UK works better under tension, but still has a few kinks worth noting. Creating an account with your card details is a good start, and gamers should also try adding a console to their wish list before checking out. More stock is expected in September, but no hard data has been confirmed.
Demand for PS5 consoles will remain very high in 2021, and retailers can’t keep up.
Next-gen stocks usually sell out within hours of release, leaving many still waiting to buy one.
So far, Sony has confirmed that 10 million units have been sold worldwide, reaching the milestone on July 18.
