Mexico’s primary stock exchange, the Bolsa Mexicana de Valores, halted buying and selling at round midday on Friday and mentioned it’s working to find out the reason for the disruption.
Spokesman Alberto Maya Sanchez confirmed that an “administrative recess” was declared at 11:56 a.m. in Mexico Metropolis. Buying and selling had stopped at round 11:33am, based on Bloomberg knowledge, and had but to restart as of the market shut in Mexico Metropolis.
Mexico’s challenger stock exchange — the Bolsa Institucional de Valores — mentioned that it’s operations stay regular and with none setback, based on spokesman Salvador Leal.
As of the Friday market shut, the BMV nonetheless had but to supply particulars about when operations would resume.
