– A new government is poised to take power in Israel. Two of Israel’s opposition leaders have announced they have reached a deal to form a coalition government, and replace Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The announcement came just moments before a midnight deadline. It averts sending the country into what would have been the fifth election, in just over two years. This historic coalition includes a small Islamist party which becomes the first Arab party to ever be.
