Best Stocks to Buy – Zagreb share indices rise, Optima Telekom leads blue-chip gainers

ZAGREB (Croatia), February 10 (SeeNews) – The share indices of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) rose on Wednesday, with telecommunication services provider Optima Telekom [ZSE:OPTE] leading the blue-chip gainers, bourse data showed.

Optima’s shares closed 4% higher at 6.24 kuna, ZSE data showed.

Adris Grupa led the blue-chip losers, as its preferred shares [ZSE:ADRS2] fell 1.21% to close at 409 kuna. The company’s ordinary shares [ZSE:ADRS] shed 0.88% to 452 kuna. 

Seven of the ten blue chips on the ZSE closed higher on Wednesday, two fell and one closed flat.

Telecommunication equipment manufacturer Ericsson Nikola Tesla [ZSE:ERNT] contributed the largest portion of the ZSE’s share trading turnover among the blue-chip companies – of 2.5 million kuna ($401,000/330,600 euro), including a 2.3 million kuna block transaction.

Ericsson Nikola Tesla’s shares closed 0.66% higher at 1,530 kuna. The company was the biggest blue-chip winner on Tuesday.

The bourse’s total trading turnover fell to 13.3 million kuna on Wednesday, from 18.1 million kuna on Tuesday.

The ZSE’s 25-share benchmark CROBEX index rose by 0.75% to 1,801.47 after losing 0.27% on Tuesday.

The narrower of the ZSE’s two blue-chip indices, the CROBEX10, which tracks the leading companies in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, added 0.32% to 1,109.36 on Wednesday, after falling 0.17% on Tuesday.
