Eros Stock – Jaworski family addresses rumors about Big J’s health
Amid rumors surrounding the Barangay Ginebra icon’s health status, the Jaworski family released a statement on his official Facebook page and disclosed that doctors also found “a non-threatening blood abnormality” back in 2016.
Jaworski, however, tested negative for COVID-19, the statement read.
“Last year, he was hospitalized due to a bout with pneumonia. He, however, tested negative for COVID-19. Due to a non-threatening blood abnormality that was discovered by his doctors in 2016, former Senator Jaworski has experienced difficulty in regaining his strength, weight, and normal well-being. Despite this, he is making good progress and slowly moving forward,” the family wrote.
“At the time of his recuperation, our family would like to request for your continued well wishes and prayers for our beloved father.”
The league’s all-time leader in assists turned 75 last March 8. Last week, the Philippine Sports Hall of Fame (PSHOF) announced that Jaworski would be one of the newest names to be inducted.
“We would like to express our most sincere and heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to all those well-wishers, and those that sent their greetings and tributes. Natuwa at napaligaya niyo po ang aming ama. Maraming salamat po sa inyong lahat,” the Jaworskis said in a statement.
