Nokia Stock- Nokia to deploy 5G services for Philippines’ DITO, Telecom News, ET Telecom
Nokia will deploy 5G services on the island of Mindanao in the Philippines and will help DITO in building a 5G network throughout the country which was formally launched in May 2021, as per an official statement.
Nokia said it will provide equipment from its massive MIMO, multi-band, Single RAN AirScale portfolio to build the Radio Access Network (RAN) for the 5G infrastructure across the island.
DITO will also utilize Nokia’s NetAct solution for network management and daily network operations, including configuration management, monitoring, and software management, while Nokia will provide digital design and deployment services.
Notably, Nokia has been an existing 4G LTE radio partner since 2020.
DITO is a joint venture between Udenna Group and China Telecom and it is the newest telecommunications provider in the Philippines.
