Platino Properties has made a splash into the seniors’ housing sector with its first strata-titled development ‘Jardin’ in Frenchs Forest, 13km north of the CBD, notching up more than $48 million in contractually exchanged sales since it launched in October 2020.
Check out the website here.
Located just 200 metres from Sydney’s new Northern Beaches hospital, the development features 55 one-, two- and three-bedroom luxury apartments and penthouses priced from $680,000 for a one-bedroom, $1.1 million for a two bedroom, $1.35 million for a three-bedroom and $1.7 million for a penthouse.
Each apartment is designed to be adaptable, and can be easily converted into dwellings with easier access for people reliant on walking aids with the option to remove certain wardrobes and remove or relocate handbasins or shower screens.
Residents also have access to an onsite and digital concierge through Platino’s partner, Zinnia Living, as well as a Jardin app which will allow them to be socially connected to their neighbours.
Being strata titled, there is also no DMF or exit fees with residents retaining their capital gains when they sell.
The approach appears to be paying off, with 65% of the apartments have already been sold in less than three months.
“The market response has far exceeded our expectations and whilst we have always believed in the concept and our project, we are amazed that customers have responded this quickly,” says Simon Militano, Development Director for Platino over 55 residences (and former Lendlease Head of Development).
With construction starting next month and apartments due to be ready in mid-2022, Platino will now look to expand the project with a future stage.
