ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Florida reported an additional 12,311 new coronavirus cases on Saturday, as well as more than 150 new deaths from the virus.
As of Saturday, Florida has had more than 1.6 million virus cases and 25,561 deaths, according to the Florida Department of Health.
Florida had a positivity rate of 11.1% on Saturday, according to Johns Hopkins University.
Around Florida, residents 65 years or older continued have difficulties scheduling appointments for vaccines, either by phone or online. In Pinellas County, home to St. Petersburg, a vaccine registration portal was delayed from opening due to vendor issues, according to the Tampa Bay Times.
