Why does it matter when converting USD to INR and vice versa?

Converting currencies is a very delicate process, as even minor changes in the USD-INR rate can significantly impact the amount of money you have available to use. For example, say you have $1,000 USD. If you convert that $1,000 to INR, you will receive about 83,000 INR. Now, let’s say a month later the rate changes and you need to convert the exact same amount of money. Because the rate has changed, you will receive approximately 87,000 INR. This might not seem like a big deal, but it can be. A difference of 4,000 INR is the equivalent of $40. This can be the difference between being able to afford something and not being able to afford it. Having a basic understanding of the USD-INR exchange rate can help you avoid scenarios like this.
