The U.S. Index S&P 500 closed today with 99 companies which reported their earnings. So far so good. Out of this 99, 77.8% was above the expectations beating the average of past year (66%) according to Refinitiv data.The S&P 500 year to date is down -10.37%
US Major indices closed in red due to due to the weight of the uncertainty and economica instability. The Dow Jones lost 2.82% living now at 33,811.40 points, S&P 500 lost 2,77%.
Nasdaq fell 2.55% and Small Cap 2000 down too at -2.52%.
The only index which is keeping the green on the book is the S&P 500 VIX which is running wild thanks to market instability, signing this Friday in green gaining +24.38%. The enormous volatility on the market bring the index YTD up to 62.78%.
The stock market in Canada closed slightly in the red with the S&P/TSX composite index down at -2.14% losing 464 points standing now at 21,186.38 points.
European markets today shown signs of weakness since most indexes were all on the red side. Losing more than 1.5%.
DAX was the worst of the day down -2.48%, the Euro Stoxx 50 followed with -2.24%, the third losers was the FTSE MIB (Italian Market) down -2.12%.
Together with them also down the CAC 40, FTSE 100 and Ibex 35: respectively -1.99%, -1.39% and -1.84%
The major Asian Indexes also were slightly in the red: Hang Seng signed another day in red, closing at -0.21% and losing -43.70 points.
From the beginning of 2022 it lost around 29% of its value.
Nikkei 225 reversed the positive trend of the latest days signing a -1.63% but closing the week slightly in the green with a +0.04%.
Similar price action also for the Indian colleague, the Nifty Fifty is down -1.27%. And even if the Weekly closure is below the expectations at quota -1.74%, so far the index gained +19.74% from January.
The Australian market suffered the pressure of the Asiatic session closing the daily activities at -1.57%. The week has been closed slightly in red for the S&P/A SX 200 -0.67% and 119 points lost.
On the green side only the two Chinese Indices Shangai and China A50 respectively +0.23% and 0.83%. Down all the other CSI 1000 and SZE Component -1.50% and -0.29%
