Stocks tumbled Thursday after a key bond yield spike, but the Federal Reserve chief made clear that they are open to increasing interest rates by May.

The good news for this Thursday is that we had another day of earnings above expectations.
At this point, give or take the 50% of the Market Cap of the S&P 500 reported earning for the Q1 of the year. Generally positive results have been shared from Credit Suisse data which seen results beating estimates by 8.6%.
Markets are also trying to experience their convenience in front of bond due to their higher interest rates. The projection on next year for S&P 500 shows that an investor can get 5.3% yield which means a plus 3% yield compared to the boring-10-year-haven. That small difference will not make stocks that attractive to investors.
Tesla’s record results for the first quarter were a major win as they outpaced Wall Street’s expectations. The company earned $3 per share from sales of 18 billion dollars, more than 3 times what analysts had expected them to make with an EPS range between 20-30 cents on each dollar sold.
Shares of The Electric Company are now tradable at $1,008.78 signing a +3.23%.
Air companies added positive results to the wallets with United Airlines stock gained 9.3%, Alaska Air Group rose 0.2% and American Airlines added 3.8%. All of them reported a certain loss per share and for UAL also for sales below expectations with forecasted profit for the full year.
Netflix’s stock price fell more than 3%. Famous investor Bill Ackman closing all the positions in loss even if he bought the dip back in January.
Surfing the positive way of bettern than expected results we have also AT&T (+4.01%). The company topped Wall Street estimates with an impressive rise in revenue and profit.
The market’s slide was led by energy stocks, which fell more than 3%. Baker Hughes (-6.85%), APA(-4.56%) and Devon Energy Corporation (-5.36%) took a dive along with them.
