European started the week reassured from the re-election of the French President Emmanuele Macron. It placates the fear of the market to have in one of the most relevant country a centrifugal force like Marine le Pen. In any case it wasn’t enough to bring the market up. A market which bore the brunt of the Ukranian crisis and inflation more than ever.
The DAX in decrement of 1.54% and the major loss reported from Deutsche Bank -5.73%, Puma SE -4.50% and Delivery Hero -4.17%. and slightly in green for today session there are Henkel VZO +1.72%, Siemens Health +1.31% and RWE AG ST +1.19%.
The big struggling this Monday with Deutsche Telekom in a bashful green (+0.19%) and E.ON SE (+1.13%)
In France the situation wasn’t that better with CAC 40 down for another day by -2.01%. Leading the band of top losers (again) Arcelor Mittal with a -8.84% followed by (again) Kering at –4.35%. Finally in green more than one stock: Engie, Eurofins Scientific, Danone closed all around 2 and 3%.
Ibex 35, followed the colleagues slipping of 0.90%, the worst stocks of the day were Arcelor Mittal -8.63% and Acerinox -4.49%. While, the best performer Grifols (+4.74%) and Melia Hotels (+3.36%).
Euro stoxx 50 bearish as well losing -2.15% with Philips leading the red side slipped -11.25% and Eni SPA -4.79%. In green Danone, Enel and Iberdrola +1.50% on average.
Among the most traded stocks Intesa -1.78%, with 85.37 Milion stocks traded ruing the day.
Great Britain UK 100 slipped 1.91% but had a well balanced portfolio. In a sharp ascending Reckitt Benkiser, Unilever and Hukma Pharma, respectively +2.90%, 1.85% and 1.34%. In red Anglo American -6.85%, BHP Billiton Ltd -6.31% and BP -6.18%.
The Italian market was the second best in class, with the Index Italia 40, had a decrease of only -1.47%. Among the most traded: Telecom Italia -2.44%, Intesa -1.72%, Enel +1.50%. On the green Banco BPM +0.65%, Campari 0.38%. The most negative results experienced from Tenaris -6.82% and Saipem -6.44%. Saipem is on 52 week lose total of 59.09% and from the beginning of the year -51.35%.
